METAL FORGING

Malabou supply Closed Die steel forging from 0.5 to 70Kg (1 to 155lb).

Hot Forging involves heating the metal to a plastic state and then squeezing it into the required shape provided by the tooling (forging dies). The process delivers very repeatable mechanical properties as it creates a directional grain flow in the material.

Typical applications include:

 Lifting rings and shackles

 Connecting Rods

 Crankshafts

 Tow Hooks
